Image Transformation Therapy Advanced Scripts for Therapists 2nd Edition Ebook
The purpose of the Scripts for Therapists manuals is to provide a road map and specific scripts that can be read to the client in session for treatment of psychological issues. The ImTT Advanced Scripts for Therapists is a manual for those clinicians who have already taken the ImTT basic workshop and have sufficient experience using this approach with clients to become familiar with the protocols and the reactions, complications, and transformations that results from using ImTT.
This manual is a companion to the Image Transformation Therapy book, 5th ed. (Miller, 2021). What’s New in the Advanced Scripts: The Advanced Scripts manual adds additional protocols for processing Embedded Feelings, traumatic memories, and the impact of emotional neglect. The differences between feelings and sensations is emphasized and are processed differently. Because of the number of protocols now used to completely process memories and feelings, each section would be much longer, making the manual too large. Instead, the clinician is referred to the appropriate page numbers. The eBook version of the manual has hyperlinks to quickly navigate from one script to another.
The second edition contains the additional protocols Image Creation Protocol (ICP) and the Freedom Statement Protocol (FCP). The purpose of the ICP is create images to enhance a person's effectiveness and feelings of aliveness. The purpose of the FCP is to identify adaptive but currently dysfunctional behaviors that a person has adopted in response to parents and other significant figures in the person's life.
